Tutorfinity is a platform made to connect tutors and students near their location. By adoping the geolocation model that drives most rideshare applications, tutors can now be readily discoverable to students near them. This conveniency is part of what lacks in the traditional tutor-student interaction. By using Tutorfinity, we give you a broader exposure of the student market with the booking process handled by us. We establish a connection between tutors and students making it convenient for both the parties involved. All you need is a smartphone with both an internet connection and location enabled and you're good to go.

You can easily download the app for free from the Google Play Store. An IOS version is going to be released later on.

Simply open the bookings screen and any bookings you currently have will be listed. You also have the option to the cancel the booking directly from the booking screen.

Payment is done using mobile money (MPESA or Airtel) when a booking is made. The tutor will then be paid after you complete the booking with them. If a booking is cancelled either by the student or tutor, the payment will be refunded.

Using Tutorfinity greatly increases your visibility as a tutor. Registration is done via the website where you submit the required details. If your application is accepted you can then start tutoring students.

A commission of 20% is taken from booking payments made by students. This commission fee is for using the Tutorfinity platform and services.

Bookings can be made from the website or the mobile app by a student using Tutorfinity. After a booking is made, an email and notification will be sent to both the tutor and student to inform them of the booking made. Reminder emails and notification before the booking date may also be sent. Once the scheduled booking date and duration has passed, a confirmation email will be sent to both the student and tutor to ask them to confirm the booking session occurred on the day available. Booking confirmation can also be done from the tutor/ student account.

Students in need of a tutor will use the website or application to search for students based on the subjects that they require to learn. The search results are returned with the nearest tutors in their vicinity who have registered as Tutorfinity tutors (that's you). To improve chances of being discoverable in students' searches, always ensure you are logged in and have your GPS location is turned on.

You have to be at least 18 yrs old.

When you login to the app, it will prompt you to turn on your location service. This is required for you to be discoverable to students near you. An steady internet connection is also required to maintain accurate location information otherwise your last logged location will be used instead.
